About

Welcome to my website.

There are three types of articles on this blog. The first type are my random thoughts about language learning (mostly Mandarin Chinese) and language related interviews, which can be mostly found under 'Language learning strategies' or 'Learning Mandarin' labels. The second type are translations of Classical Chinese texts into English or other languages and their analysis, which can be found under 'Classical Chinese - 文言文'. The third type of articles are my seemingly endless analytic struggles with Mandarin Chinese, where I try to analyze the Chinese script, character efficiency or character frequency. You can find these articles under the 'Chinese characters' label.

Apart from this blog I also started a youtube channel with Chinese character explanation videos, where I try to explain how to write the characters, which elements they are made up of, their history and usage. Feel free to visit it if you like.
